Batman: Knightfall Part 1 Brings the Brutal Bane Saga to Animated Life

DC and Warner Bros. Animation are delivering one of the most anticipated comic-to-screen adaptations in years with Batman: Knightfall Part 1: Knightfall, the opening chapter of a three-part animated trilogy based on the legendary 1993–1994 Batman comic event.

The film, which premiered to strong buzz at the 2026 Annecy International Animation Film Festival, hits digital platforms on August 25, 2026, followed by a physical release on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD on September 8, 2026. Subsequent parts are slated for later 2026 and early 2027.
