The Golem (Mutant Farm/The Comic Mint)
"The Golem" is a short-form black & white comic book that introduces its eponymous character by telling of his rebirth as something other from the ashes of exterminated Jews in a concentration camp that he then massacred. The story is a compelling one with real-life historical & tragic ties intersecting with the character's mythos. Moreover, this character, who was given life from a Jewish necromancer & his father, who sacrificed himself to bring these things about.
As someone who's written a lot of horror & prefers old world horror, The Golem is a character that I am more than just a little bit familiar with. Nowhere in this story does it have a strip of paper  on his head reading "Truth" in Hebrew, which is one of the ways you can stop that particular type of Golem; by cutting off a particular letter, which then makes the word read "Dead" in Hebrew. The other way is to write the name of God (i.e., the tetrigramaton; that's 4 Hebrew characters basically, that's YHVH, but from right to left) on a piece of paper & place it in the Golem's mouth. With that said, there is zero evidence that anyone will be attempting this, that those details will be applied to any of the future stories, or whatnot. Within those confines, a golem is otherwise unstoppable. I can keep regenerating if that's not done to undo them for good.
What we do know now is that this Golem will be joining the cast of the comic Unholy Nightmare as a "good" monster who fights against evil monsters. The constant between this character & other interpretations of a golem is that it is essentially what Rob Liefeld calls "A Tank." This is the big, strong, unmovable guy. He's like their Hulk or Juggernaunt type of character. The sheer fact that this Golem is the supposed spirit of a young Jewish boy who was burned to ash in the fires of a Nazi concentration camp is only bound to add more depth and dimension to him. Usually, a golem is a souless guardian, like an old school Terminator, powered by elemental magic & Earthen materials rather than being piloted by a murdered innocent whose blood cried up from the ground for vengeance. This should only add a fresh new element of depth to him within the Unholy Nightmare comic universe.
