Silent Nights #1 (Review)

Once upon a time, when I was a teenager in the 1990s, there used to be this local Christian magazine that'd give movie reviews. It would talk about the movies, & quite literally list anything that anyone might object to in them who was church-minded at all. Recently, I was given the opportunity to read the comic book "SILENT NIGHT #1." Lest you wonder why I'd preface it with the though about objectible content for Church-Minded folks, this is 100% through & through an exploitative comic.

In a James Bondesque world of clandestine affairs, sex for information, heavy drinking, and pudgalistic, martial arts combat to the death comes Silent Night. The primary protagonist is a shapely, highly sexualized, female agent. This series would very much fall into the same vein as books like Gun Honey, where the attractive, action-heavy female lead is shown nude through a decent portion of the books. The major difference being that this lady fights with her clothes on.

The story was captivating, well composed, and a page turner. It's very action heavy (i.e., filled with fighting to the death). Also, the hook on the end of the story is enough that I feel it'll draw quite a bit of readers back to it. In fact, it makes me wonder if this series will take turns similar to The 6 Million Dollar Man, The Bionic Woman, or within Anime/Manga-sphere 8Man &/or 8Man After. Even the hint of any one of those things would make a good addition to this arc.
